The Story

1978 855 12-String Acoustic

This is a very cool guitar that will be special to Taylor collectors: a 1978 855 12-string jumbo guitar. Back in the early days of the company, it's easy to see where Bob Taylors vision was taking the company, even back then. The guitar has a sitka spruce top paired with rosewood back and sides. This is the same model that Neil Young was often seen playing on stage in the late 1970s. This guitar has a professionally repaired headstock break, with the work extremely well done, and holding sturdy with the guitar tuned up to standard pitch. The bridge on the guitar has been reglued, with the frets dressed and the pickguard lifting a bit. One bridge pin was likely moved with pliers and it is a bit bent out of shape. The guitar plays wonderfully, and includes the original case, even with the original warranty paperwork!

Includes: Original Hardshell Case
