One of those 'if you know, you know' guitars! This is a 1978 Yamaha SG-2000 in a sunburst finish. Arguably one of the best solidbody electrics built in the 1970s and used by players such as Carlos Santana and John McGeoch. The SG-2000 was the top of the line SG model with a maple top over a solid mahogany body, ebony fretboard, a 3-piece neck-through construction and a brass sustain plate under the adjustable bridge for even more sustain. This guitar would be described as 'player-grade vintage' with light fretwear, and scattered dents/dings throughout the body. The output jack and pickup switch have been replaced over the years to keep the guitar going. The original Yamaha case is included!
