The Story

1981 Pre-Production Soloist White and Red Chevron with Harley Davidson Graphic by Mike Learn

The hits just keep coming, here is yet another vintage 'pre-production' Jackson Soloist that's full of Rock and Roll lore. This guitar was built in 1981 and originally featured a gold finish and a Kahler tremolo system, while still retaining a one-pickup configuration. It was previously owned by 'Nite Bob' - a well-known legend in his own right who spent years on the road working for bands such as Steely Dan and Aerosmith among many others.

The guitar continued on its path in life through different ownership and was eventually 'de-Kahler'ed' as well as refinished in a white and red chevron pattern with Harley Davidson graphics to reflect the year of the original build which coincidentally was the year that Harley Davidson was purchased by a small team of investors who aimed to return the company to its glory days. A small shop of folks deeply invested in making the best products possible? Sounds like the early days of Jackson!

The guitar is in overall very good shape and features a 44mm nut width and a 22-fret rosewood fretboard. It includes a hardshell case and some photos of the guitar pre-refinish with the Harley Davidson graphics laid out in preparation, as well as a picture of former Jackson employee Tim Wilson holding the guitar.

Includes: Non-Original Jackson Hardshell Case, Tremolo Arm, Photos of Guitar Pre-Refinish
