This is a vintage 1982 Les Paul Custom in the always awesome Silverburst finish, a favorite of ours from this period of Gibsons history. The guitar is in overall players grade cosmetic and playing condition. A previous owner has swapped out the bridge, tailpiece and jackplate but it retains the original pickups and electronics, even the super cool Gibson 'flip-out' crank tuners! The guitar has some water damage and light staining under the bridge and pickguard. The neck has partially separated from the body either due to an impact or changes in humidity over time. The guitar is stable and playable so while it does not require immediate repair, should be monitored. There has been a crack in the side of the headstock where binding has been glued, and there's also an existing crack on the back of the headstock on the high-strings side of the wood where the center maple strip is.
The guitar plays well and the frets have a low profile - they are still original but definitely been leveled over time. The original Gibson chainsaw case included however a few of the latches have been broken and we would recommend a newer hardshell case for travel.
Includes: Original Gibson Hardshell Case
