The Story

1988 PRS Custom 24 Vintage Yellow

We love to see vintage PRS Custom 24s from the early days of the company. This is a 1988 Custom 24 with an outstanding flame maple cap, built just two years after the introduction of the quintessential PRS guitar.

This guitar has a Vintage Yellow finish over a flame maple top, mahogany body and neck, 24 frets with Bird inlays. The pickups are Treble and Bass humbuckers, and a 5-way rotary switch with the PRS Sweet Switch toggle. Classic '80s PRS specs that made these guitars truly innovative and guitar industry-shifting instruments! The body and neck are in excellent condition with barely any wear to be seen on it. The frets have a low profile and have likely been leveled over the course of their life. It plays wonderfully, and has a nice resonant feel to it, especially when you play the guitar acoustically. The original case and tremolo arm are included, along with a sheet detailing the workings of the PRS hardware which was quite new at the time!

Includes: Original Hardshell Case, Tremolo Arm, PRS Hardware Instruction Sheet
