The Blackguard Tele Series from Bare Knuckle was created after meticulous resaerch to replicate some of the classic Telecaster winds. The Flat '52 set is based off of a short period of time in 1952 when both bridge and neck coils were wound with 42AWG plain enamel. This produces a brighter sound in the bridge and an almost Strat-like sound in the neck. This set uses a slightly thinner copper plated steel baseplate which was introduced in late '51 and stays with a flat profile magnet design and deep drawn neck cover, producing tight snap in the bass, and full on twang. This set has a separate ground wire on the neck cover for use with 4 way switching.
