This is the Colletti Guitars "Reverse" Speed of Sound™ serial #1024. This model is built with a Sunburst finish over a flame maple top and a roasted ash body! The pickups are a trio of Seymour Duncan 'Lil 78 single-coil sized humbuckers!
The Colletti Guitars Speed of Sound™ is an American-made guitar created by Music Zoo founder Tommy Colletti. The Speed of Sound™ is a bolt-on construction instrument featuring the Patent-Pending "Reso-Link" - a brass plate which links the body and neck to aid in resonance, sustain and articulation. The 'Reso-Link' is tuned specifically to sonically connect the neck and body to aid in the sympathetic resonance of each note. There's a defined note separation and sparkle added to the tones of the guitar that make it reminiscent of the touch-sensitive response of vintage guitars that have had decades to acclimate as a musical instrument and vibrate as one whole piece.
The tonewoods of the guitars (fretboards to necks and tops to bodies) are joined together using hot hide glue. The use of hide glue is a process adapted from vintage guitar construction, violin makers, and stringed instruments from decades and centuries past. Hot hide glue adds sustain and brilliance and brings out the natural tonal properties of the wood.
The Speed of Sound™ features high-quality brass hardware and a tremolo design originating in the late '70s. Vintage-accurate cloth-covered 22 gauge wire with authentic paper-in-oil capacitors are used to wire up the instrument.
If you're looking for a high-performance American-made electric guitar, you won't be disappointed by the tone and feel of a Colletti Speed of Sound™!
