Among one of the final guitars designed by legendary Metal guitarist Alexi Laiho, this is the new signature ESP Custom Shop Ripped model. The ESP Alexi Hexed is offered in an offset V shape with neck-thru-body construction at 25.5” scale. It features a thin u-shaped maple neck with natural satin finish for smooth and fast playability, alder body wings, and an ebony fingerboard (scalloped from frets 19-24) with 24 extra-jumbo frets, sawtooth inlays, and glow-in-the-dark side markers. The Ripped features an EMG HZ F-H2 passive humbucker in the bridge position with an EMG HZ S2 passive stacked single-coil in the mix for the right combination of midrange with a clear and full-sounding low end. This is the first Alexi model to ever have more than one pickup! It also includes an ESP MM-04 active boost switch, a preamp circuit with adjustable EQ settings and up to +18dB of boost when you need it!
