This is a rarity that we won't see every day: this is a pre-owned Fender Custom Shop Aluminum Stratocaster built in 1995 with a chrome plated finish. The story is that after Fender designed the Harley Davidson 90th Anniversary aluminum-bodied Strats, they decided to built more metal-molded guitars, however sans the motorcycle artwork – thus this guitar was born. The aluminum adds a nice amount of resonance with some added overtones that really give the guitar a different sound than the usual Strat. There is some very light pitting around the body, mostly on the inside of the horns, no chips or anything rough to the touch on this one! It includes the original case with certificate of authenticity (dated to June 1995, though the serial would make it a 1994 model), and a certificate from Fender describing the finishing process.
