The new for 2016 Fender American Elite Series takes the guitars that we’re all familiar with, and takes it to the next level up with excellent new features to give you a whole new playing experience. The Elite Series most notable feature is the compound neck shape, which transforms from a “C” at the top to a chunkier “D” as you move up the fretboard, giving you more to hold on to in your lead playing. The Elite Series comes with new 4th Generation Fender Noiseless single-coil pickups, which are even more true-to-form single coils without the associated 60 cycle hum.
The Elite Series Stratocaster HSS Shawbucker is built with a Shawbucker humbucker in the bridge position, designed for a snarling midrange and big overdriven tones. The pickguard is wired with a Passing Lane switch, which brings you to the bridge pickup straight to the output jack from any position you’re in, and an S-1 switch to split the humbucker.
