This is the new '52 Telecaster, with it's trademark chunky "U" shaped maple neck, twangy single-coil Tele pickups, and killer looking 1-ply black pickguard. Fender tracked down a handful of original '52s and meatured every body curve, rolled edge, and pickup to put the best features of each rolled into one: this new model. The new '52 Tele features a lighter Butterscotch Blonde finish, a "U" shaped neck with rolled edges and a sculpted headstock volute for the best comfort in the first-position. Topping off the vintage accuracy is the recessed top "Barrel" switch tip, and the correct tuner spacing for straight string pull over the bone nut.
