As one of the most celebrated series in the Fender line since the "Post-CBS" days, the American Vintage line has always been known for its historical accuracy and tonal homage to the original Fender guitars of the 1950's and 1960s. Now, the American Vintage Series has been upped a notch to even more accuracy, with re-voiced pickups, reformulated vintage colors, just about every detail you can think of has been examined by Fender to make the best guitar possible.

This is the new '52 Telecaster, with it's trademark chunky "U" shaped maple neck, twangy single-coil Tele pickups, and killer looking 1-ply black pickguard. Fender tracked down a handful of original '52s and meatured every body curve, rolled edge, and pickup to put the best features of each rolled into one: this new model. The new '52 Tele features a lighter Butterscotch Blonde finish, a "U" shaped neck with rolled edges and a sculpted headstock volute for the best comfort in the first-position. Topping off the vintage accuracy is the recessed top "Barrel" switch tip, and the correct tuner spacing for straight string pull over the bone nut.
