The Story

1960 Telecaster Masterbuilt Jason Smith Hacksaw Relic

We've all seen those funky pawn shop finds. Vintage guitars that have been modded to hell and back, with different pickups, changed wiring, a new set of tuners. Every once in a while, there's a diamond in the rough that's a fantastic player. We wanted to see what would happen if we took that concept to the Fender Custom Shop, and they've knocked it out of the park.

This is a Music Zoo-spec 'Hacksaw Relic". It's a '60 Tele built by Jason Smith with an Olympic White finish. The finish has been worn down around the 3-ply pickguard, with a Strat tremolo bridge and a EVH Wolfgang humbucker in the neck to get some real thick and gnarly rhythm tones. It's interesting and fun when you're playing it, you realize how much the Strat tremolo adds springiness and bounce to the string feel on the Telecaster platform. It's really fun to see a guitar modded as such... but by a professional ;-).

Includes: Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity, Case Candy, Paperwork
