This Fender Custom Shop piece is a Music Zoo creation and is now being offered again at a great used price! It's a '60s Stratocaster relic with a Dakota Red finish over a roasted mahogany body. Mahogany bodied Strats were actually made by Fender in the early '60s and are incredibly rare, so when given the opportunity to create a modern version, of course we said yes - so long as we could roast it! The roasted mahogany gives the guitar an increased midrange and a bit more "body" and natural compression to the traditional Strat sound...it's great for being used as a lead instrument in a band context. Add in the handwound '63 Strat pickups, and this guitar will provide a ton of inspired playing. This Strat is in excellent condition with no notable damage and includes the original case and COA.
