This is a rarity that we won't see every day: this is a used and still super clean Fender Custom Shop Aluminum Stratocaster built in 1995 with a black chrome plated finish topped off with an amazing birdseye maple neck and flat 12" radius ebony fretboard. The story is that after Fender designed the Harley Davidson 90th Anniversary aluminum-bodied Strats, they decided to built more metal-molded guitars, however sans the motorcycle artwork โ thus this guitar was born. There were supposedly only 2 of the black chrome Strats made, with a letter from the original Sam Ash store that this guitar was sold to included in the case stating that fact. The aluminum adds a nice amount of resonance with some added overtones that really give the guitar a different sound than the usual Strat. There is some very light pitting around the body, though it is mostly found on the gold back plate. There are no chips or anything rough to the touch on this one!
