Tarot Telecaster Masterbuilt Ron Thorn Item Description

A beautiful piece of art as much as it is a musical instrument: this is the Ron Thorn Masterbuilt 'Tarot' Telecaster. This guitar takes the Telecaster platform to the next level with hand-engraved silver tarot card artwork which was inspired by the Santa Muerte artwork of Italian artist Fabio Listrani. Ron Thorn was inspired by the designs to apply them to his vision of a guitar, with the art hand-engraved with over 80 hours of work on a German silver plate. The engraving was done after being emblazoned on the silver with an acetone transfer technique. The pickups are a set of P-90s handwound by Ron, and the neck is a 3A-grade birdseye maple topped with a compound ebony fretboard. The silver plate theme is tied together with sterling silver binding and hollow silver dot inlays.
