Who doesn’t love the vibe of a vintage Fender Precision Bass? This is a great playing 1962 Precision where the finish has been removed down to the bare alder wood. The bass has a neck date which reads “5 NOV 62” and has a “C” shape to the neck as did all early ‘60s Fenders. The neck finish remains original as does the headstock decal. The body, neck, and neck plate all appear to be originally matched together. The bass is missing the rear headstock strap button, and has received maintenance in changed pots, jack, replacement guard, and a later-era plastic wire Fender pickup was installed. The bridge and knobs are original. Play wise there is some wear to the body and lower frets, no dead spots or any major gouges or dings which are rough to the touch. The bass is ready to plug in and play those thumping Fender basslines right out of the Fender reissue tweed case!
