This is the Gibson 1939 SJ-100 with a Heavy Aged Faded Vintage Sunburst executed perfectly by the Murphy Lab. The '39 SJ-100 is a replica of the rare and very distinctive mahogany-bodied SJ-100 which was only built form 1939-1942. The SJ-100 features a thermally aged red spruce top with the mahogany back and sides, a rounded-profile 2-piece maple neck and an ebony fretboard. Gibson has replicated all of the notable cosmetics including the firestripe pickguard, rare vintage 'stair step' headstock design, the script Gibson logo and even the strap pin on the back of the headstock. Each SJ-100 is one of a kind, expertly aged by Murphy Lab craftspeople in Bozeman, Montana!
