This is the Gibson 1963 Country Western acoustic guitar in a Smoked Natural finish with a Heavy Aged finish treatment from the Murphy Lab for an authentic vintage look and sound right out of the case. First introduced in a square shoulder configuration in 1962, the Country Western was created as a variation of Gibson's popular Southern Jumbo model. The guitar has the body shape of a Hummingbird yet in a natural finish with an unadorned tortoise shell pickguard - the Country Western has a wonderful tone and unique look that's been a success with guitarists since its introduction. The '63 Country Western features a thermally aged sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides, mother of pearl parallelogram inlays and nickel Gotoh tuners with white buttons.
