This quite rare Gibson Custom Shop piece is a 1958 reissue Explorer, built with a Korina body and neck and covered in a transparent blue finish. It even has the split "V" headstock with raised gold logo! The neck is carved to a comfortable yet chunky '50s profile, and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard sporting some great looking abalone trapezoid inlays. Luxurious gold plating covers the '57 Classic humbuckers, as well as the vintage Kluson style tuners and ABR-1 bridge with stoptail. Other features include the 3-ply white pickguard and amber top hat knobs. This guitar is in very good condition with only 2 small dings on the edges. It's a great sounding guitar and a perfect piece for the player or collector.
Includes: Original Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity
