A Music Zoo x Gibson Custom Shop classic is back! This is a 1958 Les Paul Roasted Reissue with a torrefied maple top. Torrefied wood, also known as "roasted" wood is a process of removing excess moisture from the wood, in this case flame maple - to increase resonance and stability throughout weather changes, a healthy decrease in physical weight and a tone that's more akin to a guitar that has aged over years to have characteristics more like our favorite vintage guitars.

We went with another one of our favorite configurations here - turning a Les Paul Standard into a single-pickup monster! The top has some figuring to it and we left it all on display by leaving off the pickguard. We love these for their complete freedom for your picking hand to find the sweet spot without running into a neck pickup ring, and there's also the bonus of less string pull from a second magnet; these guitars ring like bells. The guitar has a chunky '50s neck profile and the tone comes from a '57 Classic humbucker which is one of our go-to Gibson pickups.
