A Music Zoo x Gibson Custom Shop classic is back! This is a 1959 Les Paul Reissue with a torrefied flame maple top. Torrefied wood, also known as "roasted" wood is a process of removing excess moisture from the wood, in this case flame maple - to increase resonance and stability throughout weather changes, a healthy decrease in physical weight and a tone that's more akin to a guitar that has aged over years to have characteristics more like our favorite vintage guitars.
This Historic Reissue '59 Les Paul features a VOS natural finish and two Double Classic White '57 Classic humbuckers from Gibson. The natural VOS color (or lack thereof) really shows off how dark the maple gets once its cooked, taking on an amber yellow color that goes perfect with the pickup bobbins!
