A Les Paul Custom for a new decade! This is the Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Custom from the Made 2 Measure program, where we asked for a guitar with nickel hardware, Grovers and nickel-cover pickups! The '68 Custom is a guitar which stood apart from Customs of the 50s in some significant ways. The guitar has a solid maple top on a mahogany body to add clarity and bite, two humbucking pickups, and a 14-degree headstock angle for reduced string tension. The nickel/witchhat knobs combo is a classic late '60s into the '70s look, and this one comes in at a balanced 9 lbs, 10 oz.
