The Story

Byrdland Electric Guitar Wine Red

While new sonic landscapes were being explored by musicians in the 1950's, guitarists expressed an interest in a hollowbody that kept a familiar look and tone to it, but with a little twist to provide them with some new inspiration. With this in mind, Gibson consulted with Nashville session musicians Billy Byrd and Hank Garland to create the Gibson Byrdland, released in 1955.

This gorgeous instrument was crafted by the Crimson Division of the Gibson Custom Shop: luthiers who are the best of the best at what they do, working together to create true masterpieces. This Byrdland features a classic Wine Red finish. With its thinner 2-1/4" body depth and 23.5" scale length, the Byrdland is a comfortable joy to play, and topping the guitar off are gorgeous pieces of flamed maple for the body and neck, and a black stinger headstock finish as well.

Includes: Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity and Paperwork
