Collectors Choice #1 Melvyn Franks 1959 Les Paul VOS 2010 Item Description
The #1 in the Gibson Custom Shop Collectors Choice series, and possibly #1 in our hearts. This is a 2010 1959 Melvyn Franks Les Paul, most famously owned and played by Gary Moore as well as Kirk Hammett of Metallica with whom it currently resides. This serial number is 119 out of 300 guitars given the VOS finish treatment. The guitar has an outstanding flame maple top, with a look and tone all of its own with the famously-reversed neck pickup. The guitar has a very small ding on the back of the headstock and two small cracks in the knobs - however other than that it's in excellent shape with the original case, COA and case candy included!
