Believe it or not, there used to be a time when hunting for guitars meant waiting for pictures to be mailed to your house. No Google, no eBay...so when collector Vic DaPra set out to find an original ’59 Les Paul to add to his collection, Gruhn Guitars salesman Dino Bradley sent him pictures of a super flamey Burst and pretty soon the deal was done. The original guitar (serial 9-0627) was a super clean guitar that was a single-owner instrument before it went to DaPra, and now it has been recreated by the Custom Shop down to the precise neck shape and tone through its special wound Custom Bucker humbuckers.
