This is the new 2017 Firebird Custom, a Firebird shape that takes on the aesthetics of the Les Paul Custom, with an ebony finish, multi-ply binding, and gold hardware. The guitar has a mahogany construction with 490/498 humbuckers that deliver a modern sound with lots of aggressive punch, and looks are topped off with block inlays to really bring the Custom aspect home.
