These guitars were part of a very limited run sold as part of a Neiman Marcus Christmas Book package, and Gibson had made available two prototypes from the run, this one being #5! The guitar has a custom contoured mahogany SG body matched with a Flying V neck, two-tone copper and gold finish to complement the contoured body, Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbuckers with gold covers and a gold neck pickup spacer embossed with Gibbons’ signature, and an awesome side-pull vibrato tailpiece: pure class. Did we forget to mention that the backplate on the body is shaped like the guitarists home in the Lone Star state of Texas? This is a guitar that will be a highlight of any Gibson, SG, or ZZ Top collection!
