Jimi Hendrix Psychedelic Hand-Painted Flying V 2006 Item Description

Jimi Hendrix collectors take note! This is a rare Gibson Custom Shop Jimi Hendrix Psychedelic Hand-Painted Flying V! A recreation of the original 1967 V that Jimi emblazoned with his own personal artwork using whatever materials he could find, mainly nail polish! He would use this V on slow Blues numbers, usually "Red House," but it eventually found its way into the hands of Mick Cox of Eir Apparent, who quickly stripped the original artwork off to make it his own guitar.

In 2006, the Gibson Custom Shop decided to reissue the iconic Psychedelic V, with 300 limited instruments being handpainted by master luthier Bruce Kunkel. This is number 230. It has a few small dings and impressions on the sides of the guitar from being lightly played. No deep scratches or anything to mar the beautiful paint job! The liner of the case has some wear from resting against strings, as you can see in the picture showing the case lid open. The certificate of authenticity and a vintage replica strap are included.

Includes: Original Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity, Strap
