A Music Zoo x Gibson Custom Shop classic is back! This is a Les Paul Custom with a torrefied flame maple top. Torrefied wood, also known as "roasted" wood is a process of removing excess moisture from the wood, in this case flame maple - to increase resonance and stability throughout weather changes, a healthy decrease in physical weight and a tone that's more akin to a guitar that has aged over years to have characteristics more like our favorite vintage guitars.
We went with the base model of a Les Paul Custom with this build and added in the aforementioned roasted flame top. We decided on a natural gloss finish to showcase the grain and color of the wood and threw in a pair of Double Classic White humbuckers to complement the gold hardware and darkened maple wood nicely.
