This is a rare one up for sale from the Gibson Custom Shop, a prototype guitar dubbed the Micro Kessel built in 2011 for a run that never came to fruition, of a guitar that was a smaller sized and chambered solidbody shape of a classic Barney Kessel model. This guitar is Prototype #2 and signed by former Gibson engineer Mike McGuire on the back of the headstock. The guitar is a 'New Old Stock' instrument that has been unavailable for sale, until now! The Micro Kessel has a figured maple top on a chambered mahogany body, nickel covered Burstbucker pickups, and trapezoid inlays with classy cream binding. It’s in overall excellent condition and includes the original case and Gibson certificate with an extra set of gold top hat knobs!
Includes: Hardshell Case and Certificate of Authenticity
