Firebird Platypus Guitar Tobacco Sunburst Item Description

This is the new Firebird Platypus model from Gibson USA! The Firebird has gone through many iterations throughout its history. In early 1965, the Firebird design featured 'flipped' non-reverse headstock that unlike the original multi-layered headstock was now flat like the bill of a platypus. The Platypus-style headstock featured six in line tuners as oppsed to banjo tuners, This guitar pays tribute to those original and incredibly rare models! Featurs include set-neck construction, two Firebird Mini Humbuckers and a tune-o-matic bridge setup. The Platypus headstock has been slightly modified to provide a straight string pull for less friction and improved tuning stability! Each Firebird Platypus comes with a hardshell case and the famous hot-stamped Firebird logo on the pickguard.
