The Gibson Keb' Mo Bluesmaster guitar is a nod to the Grammy-winning blues stylist, who earned recognition playing wonderful acoustic, Delta-style music with an old L-style Gibson guitar from the late '20s and early '30s. Not surprising, this was the guitar of choice by Robert Johnson. The Bluesmaster borrows much of the build style of the older instruments; it has a 12-fret neck/body joint, a bone nut, and a vintage-correct finish, herringbone trim, and other touches from yesteryear. Construction uses a red Spruce top with mahogany back and sides, a solid mahogany neck, and a rosewood fretboard. All the great elements that made those old guitars so musical is recreated here alongside modern features like an LR Baggs pickup system.
