This is a 1955 Gibson Les Paul Special in the classic TV Yellow finish. The LP Special is built with a slab mahogany body, mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fretboard and dot inlays, two soapbar P-90 pickups, and a simple yet effective wraparound tailpiece. This vintage guitar has seen upkeep over the years with a refret which has since accumulated some wear, but still very playable. There is a replaced set of Schaller tuners, a Mojoaxe compensated aged tailpiece to assist in intonation, replaced toggle switch cap and ring, newer strap buttons, a replaced knob, and a mini-toggle added for phase switching for some funky almost ‘cocked-wah’ tones! The guitar includes a Gibson protector hardshell case. A beautifully worn-in instrument ready for even more years of playing!
