The Story

Les Paul Standard Wine Red 1982

This is a 1982 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Wine Red, built with a maple cap over a solid mahogany body. The guitar has play wear typical of an 80's Les Paul with dings on the back and markings around the body. Pickups have been swapped for a pair of '57 Classics, with the originals included in the original hard case, though the covers are missing. The guitar also has Schaller strap buttons installed, so this one ready to take out of the case and rock on stage!, and it's a tone beast at 10 lbs 12 oz! There also appears to be an added string ground, and a small finish/stress crack near the neck pickup volume pot. This one includes the original hardshell case!
