A signature bass for a king of Metal bass playing - this is the Gibson Rex Brown Signature Thunderbird in a gloss ebony finish. Well known for his work within legendary bands such as Pantera and Down as well as his own solo work, the Rex Brown Thunderbird features everything he needs to get the job done. The bass has a mahogany neck with a comfy 1.5" nut width, Rexbucker pickups that can switch between active and passive modes, and there's a Drop-D Xtender on the low-string tuner peg to easily drop the pitch down a step! Topped off with gold hardware, the Thunderbird features an original Rex doodle on the backplate and his signature on the truss rod cover. A Modern Series hardshell case is included with each Rex Brown Signature Thunderbird.
