This is a 1959 Gretsch Duo Jet in a black finish, full of vibe and still ready for years of playing. This vintage guitar is mostly original with the exception of the rocking bar bridge and a non-original hard case. The pickups are patent pending Filter'Trons, with thumbnail inlays in the ebony fretboard, and a master volume control along with two individual volume controls and a 3-way tone switch. A common occurrence, the body binding has been worn and chipping away, with the binding pulling away underneath the pickguard bracket. There is what looks like some finish touch ups on the top, some rusting on the edge of the tailpiece, and a very small chip in the 12th fret inlay. The guitar still plays nicely, and has the original Gretsch label in the control cavity. A great piece of electric guitar history right here!
Includes: Non-Original Hardshell Case
