Featuring all the glitter and gold of the Falcon and the sleek styling of the Jet, the Gretsch Black Penguin is one of the Holy Grails of classic electric guitars. This Black Penguin Heavy Relic is from the Gretsch USA Custom Shop and it features the double cutaways that became a Gretsch hallmark beginning in 1962. It was built by Senior Master Builder Stephen Stern, who is considered by many to be one of world’s greatest archtop luthiers; one strum of this instrument and you will understand why. The guitar is lightweight, acoustically loud, and just an all around pleasure to play, and the dual TV Jones Filter'Tron pickups provide all of that great Gretsch sound!
