The Story

Custom Shop Masterbuilt Stephen Stern Penguin GT Electric Guitar Matte Black

The Gretsch Electric Guitars built in Brooklyn, NY in the 1950s featured distinctive design elements, such as silver sparkle tops, Cadillac tailpieces and gold sparkle binding, that propelled them into the rock 'n roll spotlight. Flash forward to today, and that aesthetic still lives strong in the form of the Gretsch Custom Shop and Master Builder Stephen Stern. With this new Penguin GT model exclusively from The Music Zoo, Gretsch guitars take another bold step forward.

The intersection of classic style and modern features starts with the Penguin's traditional Chambered Mahogany body topped with an arched Maple top. The Penguin GT replaces Gretsch's traditional bridge-and-tailpiece combination with a rock solid TonePros AVR-II locking wraparound tailpiece.

Includes: Hardshell Case, Certificate of Authenticity, Strap, Shop Apron, Paperwork
