This beautiful instrument is the Hofner 1961 LTD Cavern Reissue Viola Bass in Sunburst, a replica of a bass which helped to kick off the British Invasion of the 1960s. The Hofner 1961 LTD Cavern derives its name from the '61 Hofner bass which Paul McCartney bought in Hamburg and played on stage during those legendary Cavern Club shows in mid '61. The bass features a spruce top, flame maple back and sides with a full resonance body and the original '61 neck dimensions.
