This is the increasingly rare JS2 Joe Satriani signature model from Ibanez made for a short time in 2005. It's said that there are only 60 examples of the JS2 'Premium Rock Mirror' guitar made, likely due to the extremely difficult nature of producing this chromed finish. The 'chrome' finish on the JS2 is composed of atomized stainless steel which was applied to the basswood via a vacuum metalization process which gave the guitar a metallic coating only a few microns thick, It is a very fragile finish and it's darker in color than the previous chromed Satriani models. It's certainly a collectible, and was treated as such. The original shipping box, hardshell case and case candy are all included with this piece!
