This is the new 00-18 Joe Bonamassa, the second collaboration between the guitarist and Martin which is based off of his prized pre-war 1937 00-18. The guitar has a solid spruce top which replicates the dark Sunburst and wear patterns of the original guitar. Paired with genuine mahogany back and sides, it offers warm bass, punchy midrange, and articulate treble response in a comfortable 00 body size that’s ideal for blues, folk, and fingerstyle playing. Golden Era scalloped X-bracing enhances vintage-inspired resonance and sustain, while details like faux tortoise binding and a GE Modified Low Oval neck with standard taper provide a familiar feel rooted in pre-war tradition. Built to capture the spirit of one of Joe’s most treasured Martins, it’s a blues-ready 00 that invites you to dig in and make it your own.
