The builders at the Martin Custom Shop must be eating something hearty for breakfast these days, because the latest guitars we've gotten in from them have been spectacular, and this on in particular had everyone's attention as soon as a chord was strummed in the store. This is a D-28 with a torrified Adirondack spruce top, Madagascar rosewood for the back and sides, with beautiful cosmetics such as quilted maple binding, old-style rosette, Gotoh nickel tuners, and a Torch inlay on the headstock. The tone on this dreadnought is crystal clear, with lots of punchy low end that doesn't overpower any mids or the high end.
