This incredible guitar is a work of art as much as it is a musical instrument! It is the Martin OM-45 John Mayer 20th Anniversary model in Platinum Gray Burst, the most luxurious John Mayer model produced by Martin yet to commemorate 20 years of the very successful OM-28JM model. On Johnโs first signature model with Martin, he chose to include an aluminum border around the headplate and bridge. For this anniversary model, the border is expanded to the fingerboard and pickguard, and the border has been upgraded to a fine silver with matching silver dots on the bone bridge pins. We love the rosette extension into the end of the fretboard, and the pickguard on the top is actually inset into the Engelmann spruce for a seamless appearance. Like the OM-28JM, the OM-45 includes a thinner 1 11/16th width at the nut for comfort and speed. Let's not overlook the tonewoods on this guitar - aforementioned Engelmann spruce braced with Adirondack spruce that has the VTS treatment atop a mindblowing set of Guatemalan rosewood for the back and sides.
