Nik Huber is a German luthier whose small shop builds approximately 120 gorgeous electric guitars a year, and the workmanship of these instruments are among the finest we’ve seen.
His Krautster II guitar is a relatively simple affair that combines a single-coil P-90-type neck pickup with a humbucker at the bridge. The result is a diverse tonal palette, particularly thanks to a coil tap features activated by the push/pull tone pot. A solid mahogany body yields warmth and midrange but also a top end, the result of a curly maple neck with rosewood fretboard. This guitar is in excellent condition with few signs of use, and it plays and sounds like a dream!
