Product Description
This is a gorgeous McCarty 594 from the PRS Private Stock level of instruments, dubbed the “Graveyard 594”. The Graveyard name comes from the fact that the maple cap used on the guitar came from trees on the outskirts of a mountaintop graveyard on the east coast of the USA. The gravestones were dated to around 1884, and the trees were at least that old – with the first limb being 40 feet in the air! The trees were logged in 2017, and the tops very closely resemble the wood used on guitars coming out of Kalamazoo in 1959. Aside from the very special tops, the guitar has a mahogany body with a figured mahogany neck, 58/15 humbucking pickups with coil taps, curly maple binding, and a beautiful Honey Gold with a Dark Cherry Smoked Burst finish!
