We guarantee you haven’t seen a guitar design quite like this before. This is the Bloody Mary, a unique instrument made by Relish Guitars in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Mary is a guitar with a fully hollow body, comprised of an Aluminum frame with wood veneers to cover the circuitry and give the guitar a super full resonance and a chambered feel. Relish takes a sustainable approach to building their instruments, which led them to using dark strand woven bamboo for the fretboards, a great looking wood that gives some warmth to the tone with a feel that’s similar to rosewood.
The Mary has a is a unique take on the hollowbody guitar, and a bit more
“traditional” – though we hesitate to call this guitar traditional, than its aluminum-framed sister the Jane. The Mary has an open and thick tone thanks to its hollow construction paired with the Relish humbuckers, and a hardtail bridge for a stable design and accurate intonation.
