We guarantee you haven’t seen a guitar design quite like this before. This is the Marine Mary, a unique instrument made by Relish Guitars in Lucerne, Switzerland. The Mary is a guitar with a fully hollow body, comprised of an aluminum frame with wood veneers to cover the circuitry and give the guitar a super full resonance and a chambered feel. Relish takes a sustainable approach to building their instruments, which led them to using dark strand woven bamboo for the fretboards, a great looking wood that gives some warmth to the tone with a feel that’s similar to rosewood. The Mary is an instrument with a very clear and punchy amplified tone, the aluminum frame gives a great resonance unlike any solid guitar would provide. This Mary also features a Graph Tech Ghost piezo system for dialing in a pure acoustic sound, great for bringing in a completely different sound on stage without having to switch guitars.
