Talk about electric guitar history! This is a 1956 Rickenbacker Combo 400 model in Black. The guitar has a single DeArmond pickup in the neck position, with a maple body and neck-through construction maple neck topped with a 21-fret rosewood fretboard. The guitar shows its age with an accumulation of wear and some repairs, which include a reattachement of the bass-side headstock wing. The bridge cover is missing, and the original electronics and DeArmond pickup give a weak signal. The truss rod is still operational! It's a very cool piece to show the early innovations of the electric guitar, with the original hardshell case (in roughly the same shape as the guitar) included.
