An acoustic built to shake the walls, this is the 2017 Taylor Limited 410e Baritone, a dreadnought tuned B to B, built with Engelmann spruce for the top matched with African ovangkol for the rims with a Tobacco Burst finish to the top. Ovangkol’s sonic characteristics resemble those of rosewood — featuring deep lows and sparkling highs — with a bit more control and midrange balance, which fits the baritone’s personality well. Together with the spruce top, the guitar yields a powerful response with appealing complexity. Meanwhile, using the onboard Taylor Expression System 2 electronics, which includes an active preamp, allows the 410e to be used in a great variety of situations: stage, studio, coffee house, even campfires.
