This is the Taylor 'Next Generation' 414ce Grand Auditorium! The Next Generation Taylor models feature three stellar additions to classic Taylor guitars; a Long-Tenon Action Control Neck previously only available on Gold Label Collection instruments, scalloped V-Class bracing giving you a warmer low-end and richer open-string resonance, and new Claria electronics!
Developed with extensive input from touring artists and live sound engineers, Taylor’s new Claria System reimagines the under-saddle piezo pickup to deliver consistent plug-and-play acoustic tone in any setting. A proprietary preamp tames the harshness of traditional piezos and incorporates soundhole-mounted controls: Volume, Tone and a versatile Mid-Contour knob. The result is consistent, stage- ready tone that’s easy to shape for any setting — from solo café gigs to large-venue performances.
Solid rosewood and Sitka spruce, together with the versatile Grand Auditorium shape, translate into a classic workhorse instrument for fans of rosewood’s deep lows and sparkling highs. Scalloped V-Class bracing and the long-tenon neck add more warmth and richness across the tonal spectrum, especially in the mids. Gigging players will love the onboard Claria electronics, which make it easy to shape their amplified sound for any performance setting.
